Stocks are not cheap and commodities are not expensive

How we get these Future News Predictions

Find out how these predictions will affect you

The U.S. dollar is in a long term bear market. This is due to the U.S. dollar being backed by air. As a country, the U.S. used to save and the industrialized economy used to produce things. Now the U.S. economy runs on people buying things on credit and industry just advises on things rather than producing them.  In the long term this will continue to devalue the U.S. dollar. Our economy is also reliant on foreigners buying up all of our debt. This type of thinking created a series of bubbles that continues to this day.  The population relied on buying things on credit to maintain a lifestyle that was an illusion. Over the years people used more credit to counteract their dropping incomes. Dropping incomes forced people to buy cheaper products from China as that was all they could afford. This allows China to continue buying up U.S. Treasury debt. This cannot continue if foreign countries and investors stop buying U.S. Treasury debt and start investing in their own countries.  However, staying on this pathContinue reading »

Expect a period of low volatility and weak stocks

Stock Market – June 12, 2009

How we get these Future News Predictions

Find out how these predictions will affect you

We are nearing the end of the 2nd quarter and at the beginning of Q3. The stock market has been rallying significantly, but will slow down as we predicted before in Q3. The only thing keeping the market rising are the late comers to the market who are still pouring money in. Volatility also kept the trader busy during Q2 and you will see much less volatility in Q3. The lowered volatility will cause the market to trade sideways rather than wide up and down swings. Things affecting the stock market in Q3 and Q4 will be higher unemployment, more defaults on credit cards, increased foreclosures, and more bankruptcies both corporate and personal. Also, lower retail sales will hurt the market and so will lower prices on homes. Lower home prices will not necessarily mean more home sales.Continue reading »

Reading and heeding weather messages

Global Weather & Earth Changes – June 10, 2009

How we get these Future News Predictions

Find out how these predictions will affect you

Over the past few months you have seen much flooding and high winds. The flooding was the cleansing of the earth just like wild fires scorch the earth clean. The high winds are symbolic of the great degree of change that is coming to the world. Once the summer season starts this month you will see less flooding and the weather will change quickly to a dry, hot spell in many regions around the world. This dry spell is symbolic of the economic times and that people must be prepared to endure a long, hot dry spell in their lives. Any water messages will come in the form of tropical storms and you will see the first 3 hurricanes come by the middle of July. Two will be weaker,Continue reading »

How a global recession affects a global economy

Global Economy – June 8, 2009

How we get these Future News Predictions

Find out how these predictions will affect you

The recovery in the global economy will not happen like it has in the past.  Before when there was a recession, the government could manipulate interest rates to control rising inflation.  There are several problems as to why they cannot do that now. Interest rates are near zero and what is there to manipulate? Also, this time it is a global recession instead of one country at a time having a recession. The biggest problem is that consumers are not spending. This is also a worldwide condition. If the masses do not spend to keep the economy moving then growth slows down. The other issue lies with the banks and financial institutions. Although they seem to have hundreds of millions of dollars to lend they are unsure of their balance sheets. How much toxic paperContinue reading »

America’s New Economy

Benny' BLOGBenny’s  picks & predicts BLOG

Benny … “The Smartest Cat in the Room”
benny@AskBennyTheCat.com

Well Benny Fans . . . I hit 88% of my picks from last week . . . Which one of those newsletters you subscribe to does that? . . . I hope you donate some of those extra profits to your local animal shelter in my name, OK?

OK, remember that old saying “As GM goes, so goes America?”  Let’s hope not anymore.  It was true for decades, but America can’t afford it anymore.  Maybe GM could have survived if it hadn’t buried itself under $173,000,000,000.00 in debt, mismanagement, and not listening to the customer?  It was easier to make profits before the U.S. automobile manufacturing machine became the least efficient sector of  American manufacturing with GM leading the way.  The mystery of building an automobile has now been mastered by almost every current, rising, and future global player.  And that’s the way it goes.  But look on the bright side . . . America’s Continue reading »

Obamas resistance at home and abroad

Politics – June 6, 2009

How we get these Future News Predictions

Find out how these predictions will affect you

President Obama will have several political posturing challenges on his plate over the next 2 months. First, his nominee for Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor will continue to garner much opposition. The talk show people will continue to attack her record and Republicans will try to position her as a racist. They will say that her background and biases will not allow her to be an impartial judge. You may see a filibuster forming to help block her nomination. President Obama will face several different challenges on his ideas to reform health care. The Democrats are going to propose a health care revision bill that will meet much opposition from the Republicans.  Also many Senators and Congressman will put forth state-based health care reform plans. The inability to agreeContinue reading »

Terrorists, different tactics

Terrorism – June 4, 2009

How we get these Future News Predictions

Find out how these predictions will affect you

Terrorists will change their focus going forward in a couple of ways. Instead of focusing on attacking and killing Western troops they will focus on tactics that destabilize the central government. Many of the areas where terrorist groups hide out are far from the capitals of Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan. These remote areas have little or no governmental structure and the government is challenged trying to control these geographies. Since there is little government infrastructure, most people live in villages, small towns or in a clan-type environment. The goal of the terrorists is toContinue reading »

The heartbeat of America gets a transplant

World Events – June 3, 2009

How we get these Future News Predictions

Find out how these predictions will affect you

Two significant world events happened this week already and they both have a common denominator. The two events were Treasury Secretary Geithner’s visit to China and GM’s bankruptcy. The common thread they have running though them is “China.” Although these two events seem unrelated, they are more related than it would appear.  First, let’s examine Treasury Secretary Geithner’s visit to China.  In the past when U.S. officials visited China it was normally to talk about economic, trade, and currency issues.  In the past the U.S. went to China armed with demands and conditions for China to meet in order to maintain solid trade relations. This time it was different. There will be no more demands on China. Continue reading »

GM – what took them so long to fail

Benny' BLOGBenny’s  picks & predicts BLOG

Benny … “The Smartest Cat in the Room”
benny@AskBennyTheCat.com

Hi Benny Fans….I’m back from my assignment in Detroit covering the GM bankruptcy . . . what a day for the market today as we may have more gas left in this rally than in GM! Let’s get down to business…

OK, Fritz was on TV this morning in his pink tie explaining why GM has declared Chapter 11 .   He should be required to wear an obnoxious, polka dot bow tie like the rest of the Bozo’s who have managed this company into the ground over the last 40 years.  Is anyone surprised that it took this long for them to fail?  How did the one-time largest corporation in the world get to this point?  Let’s roll back the calendar to 1971 to Motor Trend’s Car of the Year – the Chevy Vega!  People wanted a small, economical, and dependable car and thought they could buy it from one of the Big 3.  It would take an entire page to outline all the problems that GM designed into the Vega, but let’s look at one of the obvious ones – the engine.  The engines had aluminum cylinder blocks and cast-iron heads.  These engines suffered from a lack of durability. Continue reading »
