Is pain consuming you?
- You only feel pain when you focus on it
- Energy you send out to the universe

Is pain consuming you? What do you say when someone asks, “How are you?” Normally people respond with a description of their aches and pains and illnesses in their body, or life. By focusing on your pains did you ever think that you may be making them worse?
You only feel pain when you focus on it, or think about, or someone steers you in that direction. We can prove this by the following. Suppose you are working in the yard or cleaning your garage and you cut your finger and it’s bleeding. You may work for 15 or 20 minutes before you look down and see your hand bleeding. All of a sudden you feel pain. Why didn’t you feel that pain before you noticed it and focused on it?
Your thoughts are very powerful and they radiate out far beyond your local presence. In fact, your thoughts can effect you personally or someone on the other side of the world. If you think about peaceful, calm thoughts – that’s the energy you send out to the universe. If you think about fearful, anxious, or destructive thoughts – that’s what you send out to the universe.
We would like you to try this experiment. When someone asks, “How are you?” Don’t refer to your pain level, refer to your happiness level. How happy are you today? Get out of the habit of looking for sympathy for your pains. They are yours and not anyone else’s, so why would anyone even be interested in how bad you feel? You may even ruin their day, or get them thinking about their aches and pains. Could it be possible if you refuse to focus on your aches and pains, your suffering, your shortcomings, your lack of anything including wellness, that these things would cease to be part of your life?

COMMENTARY: When people think about pollution they usually envision something environmental. Truth is there’s a much worse type of pollution – your thoughts. This is called consciousness, or mass consciousness. It’s not something you can see, but it radiates out far beyond you. Do you like what you are contributing to the consciousness pool? Your contribution comes from your thoughts, words and deeds. If you need to clean it up pay special attention to what you are speaking out loud – stop responding, allowing yourself to take a breath before you decide to respond or not. When you analyze it like this you can start to make your shift.
