Marijuana will reduce crime significantly. Some strange things are happening that are affecting the crime statistics around the nation for major crimes. A report came out this week that the city of Denver saw their murder rate drop 50 percent since they legalized marijuana. That is a significant drop.
When you think about politicians saying the only way to drop murder statistics is by taking away people’s guns, now it’s even easier than that – just legalize pot. Has the murder rate gone down because people are mellowed out and less stressed and therefore not likely to commit a major crime? How about other major cities that haven’t legalized marijuana, has their murder rate gone down?
How about other cities who have legalized pot, where are their statistics? It would be an interesting study to compare the major cities with high crime rates against the same types of large cities that have legalized marijuana.
We see not only murder rates going down but all types of crime statistics going down in cities that legalize marijuana. If you think about it people who are less stressed and in less pain and over all just more mellow are not as inclined to lash out, get angry or allow the smallest thing to set them off. Maybe Denver is on to something.

COMMENTARY: Marijuana not only mellows people out, it puts them into an altered state of consciousness. The timing for legalizing marijuana is ideal as stress has reached an all-time high, while people are looking for real answers about who they are and why they’re here. A life is wasted if you never know who you are and miss what you came here to do. Maybe the outbursts of stress have been the only way to make their point. If marijuana helps people discover themselves and their higher purpose then let’s legalize it.
